return to monke

A watch that refuses to give you a number. It reads the sky back to you in a few primal, hand-scrawled words.

The words are not random. They are computed from live weather and the real position of the sun — where you are, right now. Clear and hot at midday: sun bright day hot. Rain and cold after dark: wet cold and dark. The same one design renders the same way across five surfaces — this page, an Android widget, a Wear OS face, and (soon) iOS and Apple Watch — from one shared engine, so every screen agrees on the sky. Light by day, dark by night; switch it above.
